The Queen of Favorites?

In the chaos of life, I’m quickly becoming the “favorites” girl. Am I mad at it? No, because I do love my favorites. But I’m a little disappointed in myself. There is more to me than favorites! Though the favorites crown looks good on me.

  1. Pearl Bracelet: Pearls have become a trend for me. They make me feel so much more sophisticated than I am. So, when I saw my favorite, Mejuri, had a dainty pearl bracelet, it needed to be mine. It’s taken up residency on my right wrist, and there is where it will live for the rest of eternity.
  2. Vinyl: My world revolves around music. It’s what motivates me and fills me with happiness. I’ve recently gotten back into my record player. The soundtrack to my spare time is almost always a vinyl.
  3. Spooky szn playlist: I have a love-hate relationship with Spotify. I live a starving writer life, so I can’t afford to pay for a premium subscription. Every once in a while, I get tired of listening to ads. Then I go months without listening to any playlists. When I rediscover these playlists, I remember why I put up with the ads in the first place. Rediscovering a playlist is like falling in love again. Kalyn Nicholson has created my favorite playlists, including her spooky szn playlist. It’s how I conjure my creative headspace.
  4. Casetify: She’s back again! For the summer, I’ve put on a translucent peach case covered in butterflies. It complements the mint beautifully. But more importantly, it protects my phone like no other. I’m prone to dropping my phone. I’ve dropped it more times than I care to admit in the last month. I will admit, though, not a single scratch or crack!
  5. Go Macro minis: I’ve been working like crazy. I’ve also been all over the place. I hate to admit that I’ve been living off snack bars, but you do what you’ve got to do. Having nut allergies can make it very hard to find snack bars. Thanks to Amazon, I’ve found three different allergy-friendly macro bars! They’re also mini, so they fit in every bag I need.
  6. Red Bull: I am back to my college shenanigans, but again, you do what you’ve got to do! Sometimes you need an extra kick in the afternoon to get past the 3 pm lull. So, I’ve tasted some of the limited or special edition cans. The peach is by far my favorite. 10/10 recommend!
  7. Victoria’s Secret Bombshell: Just sticking to my college ways here. I rediscovered my love for the fragrance, and I’ve got to say, it’s lovely! I smell amazing, but it’s not over the top. I can’t smell it on myself, which I appreciate. There’s nothing worse than smelling your perfume all day. You end up with an unpleasant headache and a ruined mood. I’ve also gotten rave reviews, so I think I’ll keep it for a bit!
  8. Brumate: Am I trying to get hydrated again? Yes! Will I be successful? It’s anyone’s guess. But I’ve been spending a lot more time outside. I’ve been experiencing a lot of dehydration. To rectify this situation, I’ve purchased the super cute but practical water bottle. This bottle holds 25 oz. that it keeps cold and comes with two different lids. One of which is a straw, and the other doubles as a shot glass. Can you think of a better bottle?
  9. Apples: What’s that saying? An apple a day keeps the doctor away. I don’t know if that’s true, but I’ve had an apple a day. And I can honestly say I haven’t needed a doctor. Regardless, apples have been my go-to lunch lately. Another boost to get me through the long afternoon.
  10. Crewnecks: I’m always cold. It doesn’t matter if it’s negative 20 or 85 and humid. I always keep a crewneck around. There’s nothing better than biker shorts and an oversized crewneck.

I’ve kept this crown for eight months straight! And let me tell you, it’s not going anywhere.
