I’ve been absolutely overwhelmed! I’ve been dealing with a lot of burnout recently. However, this is not the time or place for that. Hint, hint Thursday on Off the Paigee might be. Subscribe now wherever you listen to your favorites!
Anyway! Burnout for me is a lot of exhaustion. It’s almost like I’m living in a constant zombie state. No amount of basic coffee or popular energy drinks has been saving my sleepy soul. I’ve reached a point where I’m consuming two coffees in the morning then a Monster or Red Bull by 3 pm. Don’t get me wrong; I am a coffee queen! I’m 90% caffeine and 10% water! I am an honorary Gilmore! But I don’t want to feel like I NEED the caffeine. At least not after my first cup. We all know I’m not a morning person. I love the taste of coffee and energy drinks. I want to enjoy my consumption every once in a while. I don’t want to feel like it’ll make or break me. Like it’s coffee or death.
So, I’ve been looking for ways to get more energy at the start of the day. Kind of, prevent the problem before it becomes a problem; what better way than upping my coffee game.
I love basic coffee, but it’s not strong enough for the burnout version of me. I also don’t own an espresso maker, which means coffee shops are my only access to espresso. The thought of purchasing coffee shop coffee multiple times daily just hurts my wallet.
I’ve found the best thing! Yet another holy grail product that I didn’t know I needed! It’s called Javy Coffee. It’s a microdose that gives 100mg of caffeine per serving. It’s non-GMO, artisan roasted, sugar-free, eco-friendly, and gluten-free. It’s nothing but good things! It’s also super easy to make.
Things you need:
Mug
Water (hot or cold)
1-2 tsp. of microdose
Add milk or creamer (optional, of course)
You’ve got a delicious, super caffeinated coffee! This brew works as a hot coffee, iced, cappuccino, latte, americano, literally anything. Or you can be extra like me and add it to your breakfast smoothie.
I’m powered solely by iced coffee in the summer. But you can do this with hot coffee too.
I got the idea from the beautiful Ashley Nichole on YouTube; I swear by it. Since my coffee is the first thing I make in the morning, I like to pour it directly into my blender. Not the whole thing! I still want to enjoy my coffee. I’m not a monster. But I prefer coffee as my liquid as opposed to milk or water. The caffeine mixed with the natural goodness just hits differently.
So, I’m sharing my secret (not so secret) breakfast smoothie recipe!
Things you need:
1 cup of frozen or thawed berries
1 handful of baby spinach
1 scoop of sunflower butter (or nut butter)
1 scoop of vegan protein powder (your choice)
Ice cubes
¼ cup of coffee
Blend. Blend. Blend.
Pour into an aesthetic reusable cup with an aesthetic reusable straw and enjoy! Now the world is yours to conquer.
