Favorites For My Favorites

You guys are my friends. I love you all! And I feel like these monthly favorites routine we’ve established solidifies our friendship. Nothing feels more like a friendship than sharing the things you’ve been vibing.

  1. Skims: Whether you love the Kardashians or you hate them, you have to admit Kim knows what she’s doing. I struggle with finding bras. It’s a common problem among women. I ordered two bralettes and a thong; these are some of the comfiest pieces that have ever graced my body! I prefer a full-coverage bra that isn’t going to stab me. This bralette gives it to me! I’m a 32B, so I have smallish boobs. I don’t need a ton of support, so I do wear it daily. I was wildly impressed by the size range as well as the color range! They’re also decently priced. I know I spent the same on Skims as I would anywhere else. If you need a new bra, you now know where to go!
  2. Obsessed with Disappeared Drama Club: If you ever see me with my AirPods in, there’s a 98% chance it’s a crime podcast. Obsessed with Disappeared is one of my favorites. So, when Patrick and Ellyn announced their Patreon, I knew I was joining. I am now the proud subscriber to three different crime podcasts on Patreon. The Drama Club is the first tier. I’m brand new to the feed, so I haven’t experienced everything yet. Like, the trivia night they do once a month. I have, however, binged some of their feed. They’ve done ten episodes of Snapped and just started doing See No Evil. They also go Live every Friday night on Instagram; it’s a podcast episode on Monday morning. It’s worth giving up one fancy coffee a month!
  3. Care/of Sleep: If you’ve been here for a while, you know how much I love my Ritual. But most nights, I need a little extra help with sleep. I’ve had insomnia since I was an infant. So, I’m always looking for a sleep aid. I’ve tried a couple of pillow sprays, lotions, and counting sheep. They’ve all worked to some extent, but they eventually stop working. On one of my frequent strolls through Target, I saw a Care/of display. Care/of is a vitamin company that creates custom vitamin plans and sends them to you monthly. Now they’re bringing that personal touch to the vitamin aisle at Target. You can pick whatever your body needs at your earliest convenience. I only need help with my sleep. Ritual has the rest covered! I’ve been taking them every night this month; I’ve seen improvements. My nights are so much more restful.
  4. Beis Mini Work Tote in Cognac Croc: I love Shay Mitchell. I’m a huge Pretty Little Liars fan. I’m also a huge fan of bags. Like, I love a practical bag that fits everything I need or desire. Shay understands me! My new work bag fits my laptop (in its own padded section), iPad, planner, pencil case, wallet, hand sanitizer, personal products, as well as a removable pouch that doubles as a clutch. There’s a crossbody strap with a padded section for your shoulder. Then the handles are long enough to sit comfortably on your shoulder too! There are also so many pouches for extra storage. And it’s a zip-closure. If I had to marry a bag, I’d marry this one.
  5. Amazon coffee tables: I’m a podcaster. So, I’ve created my recording area. For almost a year, I’ve been using an old folding table. Honestly, its age was starting to get the best of it! Every time I moved the table, it would fold in on me. It was time for an upgrade. I went on Amazon looking for something better. I found two matching circle tables that varied in size. One table is two inches taller. The taller table is where I sit. Then the smaller table holds my laptop. I never thought a table or tables would be such a game-changer!
  6. The Bold Type: I love this show! I’ve loved this show since the premiere in 2017. This show represents everything I want in life and everything I thought I’d have by 25; writing for a major women’s magazine in New York. I’m so sad that this is the final season. I’m binge-watching the last four seasons before the fifth season starts airing tomorrow.
  7. Mare of Easttown: Mare of Easttown is an HBO original limited series starring Kate Winslet. It’s a show based heavily on crime involving young girls. By young girls, I mean late teens, early twenties at best. Again, I love crime. It’s not just true crime. Evan Peters is also in this series, so how can you not watch it? It’s such a great show. I’m very familiar with the area it’s set in. For me, it kind of has a homey feel to it. But regardless, Kate and Evan are amazing. The storyline is captivating. There’s an authentic feel. You just need to watch it.
  8. Starbucks cold brew (at home): Summer is basically here, which means I’m trading in my hot coffee for a bit. Not that a season needs to dictate the temperature of my coffee. But nothing is fresher on a summer morning than a glass of cold brew.
  9. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer: I love a full coverage look. But I don’t always want the heavy feel of one. This stuff is a God-sent! It creates a flawless look that accentuates the natural skin. It never feels heavy on, especially after 8 hours. Which means it also wears nicely! The best part though it has SPF.
  10. Sour: I’m aware the album hasn’t even been out a week. But I’ve been listening to it nonstop since it dropped! Olivia is unbelievably talented. Her songs have evoked emotions I haven’t felt since high school. The lyrics are honest and emotional. I will continue to sing them at the top of my lungs. It’s good 4 u.

I hope you all enjoy this time of the month as much as I do! Because all of you are my favorite, favorite.
