March Madness

It’s that time of the month again! I mean, I’m not going to say it’s my favorite, but it’s close.

  1. Denim jacket: It’s been abnormally warm a handful of days in March. Living on the East Coast, once it hits 55, you’ll see people in shorts. I’m not those people, but I’m willing to shed some excessive puff jackets for my favorite denim jacket. It goes with everything and has pockets! It’s all I need in a clothing item.
  2. Soft flare pants: They’re not yoga pants. They’re more of a knit material with ribbing. So FREAKIN flattering in a gorgeous deep green color. I’ve been a sucker for a flare pant since elementary school. Combine that with a great high waist; dream pants do exist. These pants have been my go-to for most of this month. I feel more put together when I have them on without compromising comfort. It’s like wearing real pants without wearing real pants.
  3. Boy Brow: This stuff is magical. Glossier is a magical brand! I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel so much better when my brows are good. I don’t need to wear makeup every day, but my brows need to look their best every day. It takes less than two minutes to have great brows when I use this. Just a couple of swipes on each brow, I can tackle the world! Or at least Zoom calls.
  4. Lash slick: If I’m going to have good brows, I should have great lashes too. Glossier with yet another banger product. Who’s shocked? Not me! I’m very particular about my mascara, especially if it’s the only eye makeup I’m wearing. It’s the perfect combination of natural, but there. It’s almost like getting a full 8-hours of sleep. No one needs to know it was only 3!
  5. Press-on nails: I’ve been experimenting with nails since the beginning of quarantine. Press-on’s are my newest trend! I wore them back in 06’; they weren’t the greatest. They’ve come a long way. I’ve tried impress press-on in a few different colors and patterns. They let me have a nice manicure without destroying my natural nail. I’m also able to change the manicure more frequently, which is a win for me!
  6. Coloring book: I purchased an adult coloring book filled with curse words and 100 coloring pencils; best purchase of 2021. It’s been helping with my anxiety. It’s also a great creative outlet that’s much more relaxed than my others. I got mine off of Amazon. I highly recommend it’s you’re next purchase from them!
  7. Alani Nu energy drink: No, I have not replaced coffee. I’m just having a low-key affair with these drinks. I was so excited when I saw my Target had them in stock. I’ve tried Hawaiian shaved ice, breeze-berry, mimosa, and watermelon. The flavors are incredible. It also doesn’t give me the jitters or make me feel overly caffeinated. They are all carbonated, but not in an aggressive way. It’s more like a light fizz than an attack of the bubbles. It’s an afternoon pick me up that’s here for the long haul.
  8. Paper Towns: I’m a massive John Green fan. Once I pick up one of his books, I can’t put them down. So, this month I went back to a tried and true, Paper Towns. Whenever my town starts to feel a little suffocating, I like to turn to the girl who knows how to escape.
  9. Rifle Paper Co. watch band: I wear my Apple watch religiously. So, I like to switch the band up probably more often than I should. During one of my Target adventures, I found a pretty floral one. It’s from the brand Rifle Paper Co. I adore this brand! They create some of the prettiest stationery because I’m a nerd like that. Is anyone else like that? It’s the look before the functionality. I mean, it’s super functional, but it’s pretty first! Their tech accessories are the same way. Target just got a whole lot more dangerous!
  10. Built bars: These protein bars are unreal! I’ve seen several influencers promoting these bars. So, naturally, I had to try them for myself. I was pleasantly surprised. They taste like a chocolate bar and come in a variety of flavors. However, it’s the nut-free line for me. Being able to eat these bars knowing that they’re safe is fabulous! Have I gone through 4 different flavors? Yes, I have. I’m excited to try more.

Alright, so maybe it is my favorite.
