Happy Blogmas Day 6
I like spending my weekends curled up binge-watching or catching up on shows I’ve been missing. I also never say no to a good movie marathon. So, I may or may not have spent my Sunday watching some Christmas classics.
Am I posting two lists back to back? I am. Was that my original intention? No, but I can’t help it. Some things are just too good not to share. I also take back any pride I had for waiting almost a week to post a list.
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: There is only one movie that is more traditional.
- Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town: This is 51 minutes of tradition.
- The Santa Clause: 26 years later and this movie still holds up! Tim Allen just might be the best Santa.
- Frosty the Snowman: Is there a more iconic character? Sure, we have Santa as well as Rudolph, but Frosty is right up there with them.
- Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit toys: This movie has always hit close to home. Feeling like a misfit never seemed like a bad thing after an hour with Rudolph and his friends.
- Elf: Two words: Will Ferrell
- The Polar Express: One of the greatest movie soundtracks to date. Does anyone else sing Hot Chocolate while they’re making some? You also can never go wrong with Tom Hanks at the forefront.
- Christmas with the Kranks: You can never get enough of Tim Allen during the holidays. The Kranks don’t understand the iconic status of Frosty.
- The Grinch: All three films are good in their own right, but nothing beats the original 1966 version.
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation: If Christmas traditions were a movie they’d be this movie.
There are so many classic Christmas movies. How many will you watch this year?
