My Cure-ology

It’s been a while since we had a sub-series, so obviously, I needed to do one.

If you’re new here welcome! I’m Aly and I live for subscription services. You can never go wrong with investing in connivence or can you? That’s what we’re here to find out. I decided to put my obsession to good use and let my curious nature take control. I give my honest opinions on a variety of subscriptions. I test them out, so you don’t have to. I’ve done a few different box services as well as some beauty things. If you like this piece be sure to come back up here and click right about here for more. You can also click the subscription series tag.

Do you know what I love more than subscriptions? If you thought coffee, you’re not wrong, but you’re kind of wrong. I love personalization. So, when a subscription service offers personalization, I’m instantly sucked in.

Being in my mid-twenties now I pay attention to my skin. Click for skincare favorites and previous routines. I’ve always struggled with my skin, but not enough to justify a dermatologist visit. I don’t have acne, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have my issues. I’m prone to problem pimples, combination struggles, as well as some uneven areas. I’ve tried a ton of products. I’ve gone drug store. I’ve gone fancier. I’ve done it all. I do want to mention that it can be hard for me to find products because of my allergies. I’m allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, and Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide is a key ingredient in most acne medicines or washes. Every single time I see improvements within a day I’m back to square one. I was getting quite frustrated.

*Cue Curology Ads*

We all know how Google pays attention. One second you’re searching for something and the next you’re being fed endless advertisement for that thing you only wanted to know about not purchase. I purchased this one.

I’ve seen Curology advertised for years now, but I was skeptical. How well can a skincare product work after answering a few questions online? Wonderfully, that is how! If you’re not familiar with Curology here is the Spark Notes version; Curology is a personalized skincare system that is created just for you. When you first visit the site, you take a quick skin quiz. They want to know everything about your skin. Whether it’s acne you’re trying to take care of or your skin’s texture. They want to know any allergies you have. Is your skin oily, dry, or both? How many steps are you willing to complete? They want to know it all! You also submit pictures of your skin, which allows your professional provider to have a better idea of what’s going on.

After you complete the skincare quiz, they match you with a professional who creates your perfect formula. As I mentioned I’m allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, and Benzoyl Peroxide. So, when my professional provider was going through my quiz, she reached out to me and made sure that I wasn’t allergic to coconuts. I’m not, but it made me feel taken care of because she double-checked. How great is that?

What’s even better is the free trial. You have to pay $4.95 for shipping, but the 30-day supply itself is free. Being able to test out a product before committing is a God sent! There is nothing worse than purchasing a product and realizing it doesn’t agree with your skin.

My specific formula includes a cleanser, which I use morning and night. A topical acne medicine that’s like a moisturizer, which I use at night only. It also has my name on it and feels like mine. I love it when things have your name on them. A moisturizer, which I use morning and night. And finally, pimple patches. As I mentioned, problem pimples are my #1 issue. So, these patches are miracle workers. Whenever I have a larger pimple pop up, I stick one of those patches on, and after 7 hours the pimple has gone down.

I’ve been using Curology religiously for two weeks now. My skin is not completely clear. I still have my problem pimples, but it’s doing so much better. The texture of my skin feels much softer and smoother. The number of problem pimples has gone down. My makeup also goes on like a dream. This is the first time that I feel like products are genuinely working for me. Life is about trial and error, but you should totally skip the extra trials and go to Curology right now. I’m telling you it’s worth the try.

As with all of my sub-series I like to put this little disclaimer: **I PURCHASED ALL OF THESE PRODUCTS ON MY OWN AND ALL OF THESE OPINIONS ARE MY OWN**

Also, this is not sponsored!
